A monthly letter from the desk of Sarah Fejfar

I hope you had a great October!

What did you learn about yourself or your business this last month?

Here’s what I learned:

  1. “If you’re not learning you’re dying.” That quote by Albert Einstein resonated with me in October.  I attended a 4-day virtual summit for Entrepreneurs, and it was an awakening for me.  I had put learning on “pause” for two months this Fall during an intense work period on events.  Attending the summit reminded me how much I feel alive when I’m learning and how important it is to my sense of wellbeing to keep learning a daily habit.

  2. Get a coach! Wow. The number of times I wrote this down during that summit I attended was staggering; and each time, the voice inside my head got louder and louder telling me “it’s time! Take action!” So, at the end of day 2, I emailed a former coach, and the next day we were on a Zoom hashing through what I was struggling with.  In the span of an hour, I went from feeling stuck to feeling shot out of a cannon!  The “right” outside perspective is incredibly valuable.

  3. Simple is effective.  I’ve attended and produced some fairly complicated virtual events this year.  And then I attended that summit I mentioned and it was a breath of fresh air.  It was simple and elegant, without all the bells and whistles that have become so sought after and seemingly “necessary” in virtual events these days.  It was still as effective (if not more so) than the more complicated events I’ve seen. I geek out on events so it was exciting for me to see what’s possible when a business leads with their message and service (and have incredible content and facilitation skills.)  Not saying one way is “better,” but it’s awesome to know there are options.

What are you trying to accomplish in November?

Here are my three goals:

  1. Create a webinar funnel to offer my flagship course, Live Event Academy™ + coaching.

  2. Consistency. Create a plan I can stick to so I can stay consistent for and connected to my email list and Instagram followers.

  3. Become a block-time ninja. My 9yo daughter has been struggling with depression as a result of online school and covid isolation so I’ve doubled down on helping her bring joy to her days.  This looks like spending more 1:1 time with her each day playing games or doing schoolwork, taking her to private outdoor swimming lessons several times a week and to outdoor playdates with the two friends in her pod a couple of times a week, and going on family adventures in the great outdoors around the PNW every weekend.  This important personal work has shaken up my business schedule and I need to do my best this month to create and stick to work blocks so I can continue to move my business goals forward because progress brings ME joy. 😊

Just thought I’d share and keep in contact.

I hope this note finds you and your loved ones happy, and healthy.

Warm Regards,
Sarah
