I can't underline enough how valuable that one chapter in the book has been in providing guidance and support and network for me. Because you know, it can be lonely if you don't proactively go and find people who are striving in similar ways and consistently connect with them and have meaningful, deep conversations. And this framework is fabulous. How are entrepreneurs like us daring, bravely to build a stage, ditch the sweatpants and step up to the mic? How do we create our own transformative events so we can get our message out into the world in a bigger way. It's not only profitable, but it's actually something we can be proud of.
That's the question, and the answers are inside this podcast. My name is Sarah fafer, welcome to Greenroom Central.
Okay, for the next few months, this podcast can be a little different. I, spoiler alert, am moving this summer, which is going to be so fun, and we're taking our sixth annual favor, family road trip, summer road trip. And so because of all that, I knew my life was going to be crazy, and so I decided not to do interviews for you this summer, but what I wanted was for you to still get a fresh hot now episode every single week. So I decided to look at my audible and my or my apple Notes app, which is where I take notes on every book that I've read, and put together a book review series for you. And each week I'm going to bring you a new book that I love and recommend, and hopefully you'll find something in here that you want to pick up. So without further ado, here's this week's book. If you're looking to hustle smarter and not harder, then this is for you.
This book is a book that I wish I had when I started, because it really helps you learn how to build a blueprint for, say, instant success, but making progress in all the right Ways, helping you achieve your entrepreneurial dream faster. There's absolutely shortcuts inside this book. And I think everybody who wants to start their own business in this online coaching space should totally read it. I think this was a game changer. So the common path to uncommon success is what it's called by John Lee Dumas, I believe it's on Audible read by the author, which is so awesome. It's my favorite. I think it's a lot of takeaways. There's a lot of really big things that have happened since reading this book that are directly from this book.
And I think that's why I think this one's so impactful and has such a soft spot in my heart. So, you know, it does talk about getting clear on your vision. Yes, important and yeah, that was great. But I think what really, really helped me was the outline of the content creation and production plan, so literally, what to expect on the whole process of creating reoccurring content in your business. Now, obviously, since John Lee Dumas is one of the most famous podcast hosts of all time, it's focused around using the podcast as the pillar. And since reading this book, I started this podcast, and have been consistent for over two years. This is what this is, episode 139 139 weeks, and it's because of this book. And so that was one key thing that I took from this.
Another thing is it talks a lot about systems and processes. And I think the piece that I loved the most was this implementing after action reviews, I think. And I could be getting this wrong, but I think John Lee Dumas has some military experience, or it's in his family, I can't remember, and so he uses this military concept of after action reviews as a way of basically triaging the goal, the accomplishments, learnings, the improvements at really re at regular on a regular cadence in his business. I think if you go to his website, they still, to this day, publish, like their monthly revenue numbers, and in a very like regimented way, and very transparent as because it's like part of their system to to know their numbers and and regularly look at. Them, and then have these after action reviews to well, what worked, what didn't work, and he talks about how to implement this process on all the projects that you do.
So yeah, that super, super helpful for me, and really just sunk in and stuck another thing that helped me was he's got this concept of building your own peer mastermind, and I did exactly what the book says to a T the process for implementing a peer mastermind, and have been doing it for several years now, and I'm on my second iteration. I ran one peer mastermind for at least, at least a couple years, and then that group disbanded. Kind of went their own ways, and then I knew that the process of running a peer mastermind was so beneficial that I went and built another one, and it's just so his process for how to run one is so clear and help me identify exactly who I should be looking for and how to run the calls and I can't, can't underline enough how valuable that one chapter in the book has been in providing guidance and support and network for me, because, you know, it can be lonely if you don't proactively go and find people who are striving in similar ways and consistently connect with them and have meaningful, deep conversations.
And his framework is fabulous. I think those are my favorite things. I there's there's too much in this book to go through. It's so detailed, it's extremely tactical. I think that's another reason why I love it is I love the way he explains in enough detail that you can take action. So go pick up a copy of the common pact, uncommon success, by John Lee Dumas and read it, and then come back to my DMs on Instagram and let me know what your favorite piece was, because I'm guessing you're gonna have a bunch, but I'm really curious. This one's this one's a gem, so go pick up a copy next week. We, when we get to hang out, we're gonna talk about, we're gonna talk about $100 million offers by Alex hermosi. I hope you've read it already. Not spoiler alert, I think you should. It's amazing. I yeah, I'm gonna talk about crafting irresistible offers, and why you need to read that one until then, make it an outstanding day. So glad we got to hang out together here and looking forward to seeing you next week. Take care.
