It's the equation that helps you create an offer that maximizes perceived value and minimizes perceived cost. I think just a lot of things that landed for me in this book. And you take all those courses that teach you how to build like a stack, right? But this cuts to the heart of like, well, what do you build that makes somebody want to say yes? Like, What would someone want to say yes to? How are entrepreneurs like us daring bravely to build a stage, ditch the sweatpants and step up to the mic? How do we create our own transformative events so we can get our message out into the world in a bigger way, it's not only profitable, but it's actually something we can be proud of.
That's the question, and the answers are inside this podcast. My name is Sarah fafer. Welcome to Greenroom Central.
Okay, for the next few months, this podcast can be a little different. I spoiler alert, am moving this summer, which is going to be so fun, and we're taking our sixth annual favor, family road trip, summer road trip. And so because of all that, I knew my life was going to be crazy, and so I decided not to do interviews for you this summer. But what I wanted was for you to still get a fresh, hot now episode every single week. So I decided to look at my audible and my or my apple Notes app, which is where I take notes on every book that I've read, and put together a book review series for you. And each week I'm going to bring you a new book that I love and recommend, and hopefully you'll find something in here that you want to pick up. So without further ado, here's this week's book. This is going to be so fun.
This is the book you need if you want to create offers that no one can refuse. This is going to be all about the secrets to you know that that elusive, irresistible offer all the gurus talk about, the answers are inside this book. The book I'm talking about is $100 million offers by Alex hermosi. This is, I'm sure you've heard of it. Marketing has been over the top and but it's it really is a game changer. I think Alex is to be applauded for his simplicity in this book and the clarity of which he helps you discern what value is and how to perceive and deliver that value from the customer's perspective, and what creating a Grand Slam offer looks like. What? What makes something irresistible? And I love his even though a lot of them, a lot of the examples inside this book are from his his business, building gym launch for you know, like a weightlifting gyms. It's just a lot of real world examples in here that make this concept tangible. I think that's that's what I loved.
He's also got this. It's now like super famous value equation in there, which is breaking down what is value. And the way he writes it is Dream outcome plus perceived likely of likelihood of achievement divided by time delay plus effort and sacrifice and probably just Google it like Alex hermos value equation, but it it's the equation that helps You create an offer that maximizes perceived value and minimizes perceived cost. I think just a lot of things that landed for me in this book of in you read, you take all those courses that tell you, teach you how to build like a stack, right? But this, this is, this cuts to the heart of like, well, what do you build that makes somebody want to say yes? Like, what? What would someone want to say yes to? So? And then, obviously, it shows how to create your offer based on that value equation of identifying what the dream outcome is for your customer, how to use the offer to increase the your customers perceived likelihood of achieving the thing that they want.
And then, how do you reduce the delay, the time delay between when you know the point in time now and when they think they're going to get it. And also, how do you also use the offer to reduce the effort required to get the thing? Because that's, I mean, if we're being honest, that's what holds us back from a lot of transformations, is I want to lose 30 pounds. Well, it's going to be hard, right to go to the gym. Know, and meant to eat, right? And it's gonna take so long that if someone presented an offer that was like, Oh, we're gonna like, we're gonna cut down that time. We're gonna cut down that effort with this thing. Well, that makes it so much more attractive, right? And then, yeah, there's pricing strategies, there's how to build the stack.
And I know you've probably studied this before, but it's worth it, if you have not yet, go and listen to how Alex does it. I've studied under so many mentors in this space and kind of the online coaching and direct response marketing space, and I just really love how simple Alex hermosi breaks it down. You really put in the work, figure out what he was doing that was working, and why, and explain in a super simple kind of way. You know, Apple has their packaging. It's so minimalist like that, but you have to work hard to get something that clean right. And this, this is that this book. So it's also conversations about risk reversal and how to increase the perceived value, conversations about scarcity, urgency, all the common suspects, right?
And then his method for implementation and testing and scaling. So I think, I think to put a bow on it, it's like, it's not words or concepts that you don't already know, but there might be a piece of the puzzle that just lands for you so much better when you read this book because of the way he broke things down and explains it so and it's like just super kind of abundance mindset, positive, positivity. Yeah, love it. So go read 100 million dollar offers by Oxford mosey, when we get together next week, same time, same place, we are gonna talk about his second book in the series, 100 million dollar leads. I love that one as well. So like how to then get the people that are gonna go buy the offer that you're gonna build so traffic, essentially, we'll talk about that. It'll be awesome. So I'll see you then, and until then, make it an outstanding day. Thanks for hanging out with me.
